Quebec Trip:   There is a meeting in the cafe after school today at 3:00 pm.  Any questions, see Mr. Berjoan.

Garden & Landscaping Club:  Meeting today from 3:00 to 4:00 pm in Room 370.  Come prepared to take home a plant to give your sweetie on Valentine's Day.

Lost & Found: All lost and found items will be on display in the cafeteria this week - please encourage your student to sort through the pile for lost items.  Unclaimed items will be donated to a charity over February Break.  

Phys Ed Classes:  Reminder that if there is a substantial amount of snow tomorrow, please be prepared for snowshoeing on Thursday and Friday.

Math Team:  Saturday the Clarke math team traveled to Roxbury Latin to compete in the Mathcounts chapter competition against 25 schools and 200 kids.  The Clarke team took 1st place and had 5 of the top ten individuals.  Rohil Prasad placed 8th, Zach Lowry 6th, Katie Fraser 5th, Celina Hsieh 3rd, and Jonathan Tidor was 1st.  In the head-to-head competition Rohil beat 8 of the top 10 to win the countdown round.  Great job by all.  Good luck at states next month.

Art Club:  Next meeting of the Art Club will be Thursday, the 25th of February after February break.  Ms. Roy's students may pick up their work prior to Friday, the 12th.

2010 Clarke Talent Show:  There will be an info meeting after school on Thursday this week.  The meeting will be in Room 342 from 3:00 to 3:30. See Mrs. Eastwood or Mrs. Bavin if you are unable to attend.

MSPCA Drive:  There is an MSPCA drive going on through February!  Please donate towels, dog toys, cat toys and old blankets to help animals in need.  The collection box is at the office.  Please see Sara Mael for more information.

Boston Late Bus: Boston students staying for sports and clubs can take the 5:30 pm bus Monday through Friday or the 4:15 bus on Tuesday and Thursday.  All students who utilize this late bus service must get a late bus  pass from the main office of their school or from the METCO office at the high school.  Bus passes should be given to the driver as students board the bus.

F.L.A.G.S (Families of Lexington Are Grateful for their Service):  A dropoff box is located in the Clarke Office for household items to be sent to our Troops here and overseas.  FLAGS is a program sponsored by Lexington High School students as part of their community service.  For a list of recommended items to donate, and for more information about FLAGS, please go to www.flagsma.org.

HEALTH REMINDER:  Please be aware that students MUST be fever free for 24 hours without the aid of fever reducing medication (Tylenol, Advil, Motrin, etc.) before returning to school.  If a child has a fever, with or without the presence of flu-like symptoms, this rule still applies.  Please refer to the guidelines set on the School Health Website link associated with this web page.
