First Aid and CPR is a semester elective course offered to 8th grade students. This course offers hands on training in infant, child and adult CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), training in the use of AED's (automated external defribrillator), and important First Aid skills. Students who successfully complete this course may receive CPR?AED certification from the National Safety Council and/or a certificate of completion from the Town of Lexington. This course prepares students to address emergency situations as well as to be able to handle routine first aid needs. CPR and First Aid provide real life preparation for students who are beginning to babysit or planning to take a lifeguard training course in the near future.
