Overview:  The Fall soccer program at Diamond gives players an opportunity to understand the 11 v 11 formation, a chance to play neighboring schools in 12 matches, a chance to improve their fitness, and improve their soccer skills.  More importantly we emphasize priorities...Family, School, and Community.  The team will consist of approximately 16 to 20 players.

Teamwork is about all of the players working together cooperatively.  We will be doing some teambuilding exercises and getting a chance to experience what it means to be part of a team.  However, being a part of a team does not make you better than anyone else.

There are three pillars to being a player.  These are priorities.  Your family is the first priority.  You are part of a family and they have priority over everything else.  This is not an excuse, but your Mother, Father, Sister, Brother all work together.  It is the family that comes first.  Second, School is your next priority.  The teachers expect you to fulfill their obligations as will your coach.  You are an example.  Third, you will also be a part of the community, so the way you handle yourself is one of respect and caring in school and in your surroundings.

Community.  We will have spirit and do events outside of the school to enjoy the soccer community.  A pre-season and post-season dinner will be held to help build an understanding of the program and to spend time away from soccer to learn more about each other.  In addition, we will do some other activities.  Last year we were invited to a Harvard Womanís Soccer match and we attended a New England Revolution match.

Mouthguards ARE MANDATORY.  Get used to them.  Players without mouthguards will be carded by the referee.  If you are selected for the team you may want to get a custom fitted guard.

Practice starts promptly at 3pm and ends promptly at 4:30pm.  Make sure to arrange for pickups.  The coach must stay until all players are safely picked up.
