Miss D'Antuono, Mr. Glynn, Mr. O'Brien, Mrs.Rolfe, and Mrs. Smith
Miss D'Antuono
Ms. D'Antuono is in her 5th year of teaching at Diamond. Her previous experiences include working as the Athletic Director and PE teacher at Belchertown High School and at Georgetown Middle/High School. A graduate of Springfield College with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education she has also earned a Masters Degree in Athletic Administration. As a Lexington resident who attended the Lexington Public Schools, Ms. D'Antuono is very excited to be teaching in her hometown.
Mr. Glynn
Mr. Glynn will be joined our staff in the fall of 2008. He started his teaching career at Fiske. Mr. Glynn is a graduate of Springfield College and is currently working on his Master of Ed degree at Salem State College.
Mr. McManus
Mr. McManus has been an educator with the Lexington Public Schools for the past 36 years. He graduated from UMass Amherst and received a Masters in Special Education from UMass. Mr. McManus retired at the end of the 2007-2008 school year, but returns to supervise the fitness center after school program in the spring.
Mr. O'Brien
Mr. O'Brien has been teaching at Diamond for the past 8 years. A graduate of Springfield College with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education he recently earned a Masters of Education in Physical Education from Salem State College. He coaches cross-country and track and field at DMS as well as indoor track at LHS during the winter months. Mr. O'Brien runs the Boston Marathon each year helping to raise funds for Dana Faber cancer research. Mr O'Brien has two sons (one in college and one college grad 2008) and a daughter also in college. Mr. O'Brien has a very busy life!
Mrs. Rolfe has been teaching at Diamond for 35 years. She has her BS in Physical Education from the University of Massachusetts and her Master of Education Degree in Curriculum and Technology from Framingham State College. She teaches Health and Physical Education and is the Athletic Coordinator for the school. Mrs. Rolfe coaches field hockey, supervises the fitness center during winter intramurals, and teaches a basket making class after school in the spring.
Mrs. Smith
Mrs. Smith teaches 7th grade Health Education and the 8th grade health electives CPR/First Aid and Multimedia Health Education. She is a graduate of Boston Bouve' College at Northeastern University. Mrs. Smith taught at Bedford High School for 10 years and has been teaching at DMS for the last 11 years. Mrs. Smith has three children in college and is a life long Lexington resident.
