Our major units of study are:
What a Scientist Does
Magnetism and Electricity
Invention
Human Body: Bones and Muscles
Students in the fifth grade are true scientists. They ask questions, investigate, experiment, analyze data, and make careful observations. We start off the year learning what a scientist does, by critically observing the world around us. During the course of the year the students in Room 17 and Room 19 will keep science journals, in which they will record their observations, data, and questions.
