HARRINGTON’S BIG BACKYARD PROGRAM What is the Big Backyard nature walk program?  Big Backyard is a program designed to introduce each child to many aspects of the natural world, while also enhancing skills of scientific inquiry, such as question formulation, observation and deduction.  GRADE 5 will go out on 5  nature walks during the year.  While on the walks, which occur during the school day, classes will explore fields, woods and other habitats on Harrington School property. The walks are led by trained parent volunteers who follow carefully prepared curriculum guides.
