Independent Reading

It is extremely important that all students are reading at home every night for 20-30 minutes. The purpose of having reading time at home is to foster a love of reading and create the lifelong habit of reading for pure enjoyment. The students may choose a book from the classroom, school or town libraries or home. These books should be "just-right" for the student's reading level and should come back and forth to school each day, so that it may be read during class independent reading time.
